Week of Wonders

There's no other way to describe this week. It was simply wonderful all the way around (OK, so there was a bump or two along the way but pretty much easily resolved). I was scheduled to work 4 days this week with my 3 days off being all in a row beginning on Monday!!!!

Sunday we had a pretty relaxing day. I did have to work for five hours but we had no plumbing issues, no whining children (amazing huh?), and all of us were generally relaxed.

Monday was such a wonderful day! I had become very concerned that one of my crochet clients hadn't gotten her shipment and was remaking the lost items when a neighbor (who'd been on vacation for a week) came by with the package. It had been lost in the mail and somehow returned to their house instead of mine! Such a relief!!! It rained on and off all day with that soft misty rain and the children kept coming in and out of it. When they were inside here are a few of the things that they did...
ECJ made soup and crackers for lunch

Then Daddy set up one of the two-man tents and kids chairs in YCJ's bedroom and they played indoor camping for quite a while. ECJ even willingly read to them several different stories while in the tent. And though I couldn't catch it on camera the dogs both went in and out of the tent the rest of the day and into the night thinking it was the best thing ever... After supper (but before bed) we had a storm that lasted for only a short bit but really whipped up the wind and rain

When it was done and I was taking the after photo of the field we had a double rainbow!!! The brightest that I've ever seen in my life...

Tuesday we did end up doing some lessons. Two days of finishing up worth of review testing of lessons actually. Total we were done in less than an hour and a half.

That night YCJ ended up having a sleepover with Peanut since the air mattress she had been using was flat and a support board on her bed frame had snapped right under her head! (No injuries happened this week)

We ended up with a 1 AM pizza party!! Daddy and I had a hungry spot (yes, horrible to eat that late at night) and the children had woken up when Daddy had left to go get us a couple of slices. So, being who he is, he brought them each home a piece :-)

We'd also gotten several hours worth of outside time in this day.

Middle of the week, "hump-day", or more commonly known as Wednesday September 3. I had a doctor appointment for my final check up after surgery last month. I was given a perfect bill of health (as related to the surgery)! We had several errands to run including buying animal food, board to fix YCJ's bed, a new mattress, the list goes on and on. But we continued to stop along the way so that the children could get some breaks outside!!! (Warning! Photo explosion!)

No filters were used for any of these photos, a different light was cast through the tree leaves for YCJ for just a moment and I caught it!

We also gave the children each a new pillow that night and here's a shot of YCJ back in her room, with improved bed and new pillow...

So, that brings us to Thursday when I had an irritating day at work due to a rude customer and a rude co-worker. Came home and ran some more errands and then tried to install my new game only to find out it wouldn't install still (* I had tried Wednesday night as well) ... received the call from tech support who helped me get rid of a gorilla bug on my computer and now my game is perfectly installed! Yeah for those of you who help us illiterates with these things! Without all of you we'd all be lost in this day and age. I'm now far more content and relaxed.

We haven't gotten to Friday yet simply because I have to work, am typing this up at 11 PM Thursday night, and I will probably spend several hours on my new game tomorrow before work. We've nothing planned but a small errand which Daddy needs to run and the campers and I will be staying home for.

I did manage to clean and organize one thing this week...

    1. I am so happy the package is back. I need to mail it out tomorrow (had planned to do Wednesday) after I add a few small things embellishment wise. I keep meaning to blog more but then we'll say "Oh, let's go to the park" or "We need more dog food (all the time)" or the always interesting "Mom, come help us build..." LOL So, I end up just getting the weekly wrap up done while I growl that I meant to also blog about this, that, and the other thing LOL

    1. Yes, indeed it was a relief! Thank you for the well wishes and the compliments on the pictures. I know I'm a bit biased but I think the ones of the children were the best ones.
